Health Savings Expert Privacy Policy

Health Savings Expert understands how important the privacy of personal information is to our users. Registration

While you may use most of the Services without registering, certain Services do require that you register with Health Savings Expert for them to function properly. Interactive Services

Some of our Services are interactive and may request that you submit health-related information, along with other information such as your age and gender. You are not required to register with Health Savings Expert to use these tools and, if you are registered with Health Savings Expert, we do not necessarily associate information that you submit to such tools with registration information that you have previously provided.

Personal Health Tools / Health Manager

If we provide a “Health Manager” or similar tool, it is designed to provide you with a secure place to gather, store, manage and share your personal information and to provide tools and services to better manage your health and the health of your family. You may be required to register with Health Savings Expert to use such tools. These tools may use information that you provide to send you personalized emails or secure electronic messages. Health Savings Expert does not allow any third parties to gather data about you in connection with the use of such tools through cookies or other tracking technologies, and we do not use information that you submit there to deliver advertisements to you on or off the Health Savings Expert Sites.

Email Newsletters

At registration and at various times as you use the Health Savings Expert Sites, you will be given the option of providing us with personal information in order to receive informational/promotional newsletters via email from Health Savings Expert and/or directly from third parties. From time to time Health Savings Expert may offer users of third party websites the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletters through those websites. Email a Friend

If you use our Email a Friend service to tell a friend about a feature on a Health Savings Expert Site or a newsletter, we will ask you for your name, your email address and your friend’s email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site using your name and email address as the “from” email address. Health Savings Expert does not use your friend’s email information for any other purpose. We will only use the information you provide to send the requested email to your friend.

Market Research

From time to time, Health Savings Expert may conduct online research surveys on behalf of itself and third parties through email invitations, pop-up surveys and online focus groups. When participating in a survey, we may require you to provide your location, age and, if there are sweepstakes associated with the market research survey, your name and contact information for purposes of sweepstakes administration. Some parts of the Services may allow users to submit reviews or other content. These features are open to the public and should not be considered private.

Emails You Send to Health Savings Expert

Services and Device Information

When you access and use the Services, Health Savings Expert automatically collects and stores in its server logs information from your browser or mobile device such as your IP address or unique device identifier, browser information (including referring URL), your preferences and settings, cookies and information about the content you have viewed and actions taken (e.g., search queries, ad engagement, clicks and the associated dates and times). Health Savings Expert may also collect device-specific information when you install and use an App including your device model, operating system information, advertising ID and App version and usage information. Precise Geolocation Data

When enabled by you, we collect precise location information provided by your mobile device, such as latitude and longitude, to provide you more relevant content including advertising based on your location. You may disable the collection and use of your location data through your device settings.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies to collect information about your use of the Services. “Cookies” are small data files assigned to your browser when you visit a Health Savings Expert Site which enable recognition of your browser and collect and store information about your use of the Services. Third parties may provide funding to Health Savings Expert for the creation by Health Savings Expert of original editorial content for the Health Savings Expert Network. • Fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, illicit, or offensive material
• Material that misrepresents, ridicules, discriminates against, or attacks individuals or groups based on age, nationality, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or protected status
• Alcohol
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or fireworks
• Gambling
• Pornography or sexually explicit content
• Tobacco products or vaping
• Simulated news alerts or emergency messages
• Advertising directed at children under the age of 13
• Content referencing “M-rated” video games
• Unreasonable, unverifiable, or extraordinary claims
• Flashing or strobing imagery that may cause harm
• “Miracle cure”, unproven medical, or instant weight loss claims
• Advertisements designed to mimic system alerts, software interfaces, or operating system functions

Separation Between Advertising and Editorial Content

Health Savings Expert maintains a strict separation between Advertising and editorial content.

All Advertising on the Health Savings Expert Network will be clearly identified using labels such as:

• “Advertisement”
• “Sponsor Content”
• “From Our Advertiser”
• “Information From Industry”
• or similar language indicating sponsored content

A click on an Advertisement may only link the user to the Advertiser’s website or a relevant sponsored section within a Health Savings Expert Property.

Advertising in Search Results

Health Savings Expert retains exclusive control over the display of search results.

Content in search results is identified by source (e.g., “Health Savings Expert News,” “Medical Journal”). If Advertising appears within search results, it is clearly labeled. In some instances, Health Savings Expert may also include advertising-only sections on results pages.

Sponsored search results provided by third-party advertising networks may appear clearly marked as advertising.

Rights of Acceptance and Removal

Health Savings Expert reserves the exclusive right to accept, reject, cancel, or remove any Advertising at any time and without prior notice.

Health Savings Expert does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free display of Advertising across any platform, including websites and mobile applications.

Advertiser Legal Responsibility

Advertisers are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations governing Advertising, including medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare advertising rules.

Health Savings Expert reserves the right to review Advertising for legal compliance and may remove any Advertising that violates applicable laws, regulatory requirements, or this policy.

Data Collection, Tracking, and Pixels

No Advertising on the Health Savings Expert Network may include tracking pixels, beacons, cookies, or data collection software (“Pixels”) without prior written approval from Health Savings Expert.

If approved:

• Advertisers may not collect personally identifiable information (PII)
• Pixels may not use Flash or object-based technologies
• Cookies must be user-deletable
• Advertisers may not link non-PII to external PII databases
• Advertisers may not build user profiles based on Health Savings Expert data
• Advertisers may not infer or track individuals specifically as Health Savings Expert users

Health Savings Expert’s Corrections Policy

Health Savings Expert, operated by ADVOCATE INSIGHT LLC, is committed to making corrections or clarifications to original content when it deems necessary.
